ABOUT US

 

In 2007, while employed at the University of Michigan, Pat Wright and Shelly Bell created Greek Life Food Service, offering meal plans to the University of Michigan Fraternity Houses. After 13 and 16 service years, respectfully, at the University of Michigan, they decided to leave their positions and combine their collective experiences to start PrimOvations Catering. Their diversity, excellent food options, presentations and attention to detail quickly propelled PrimOvations into one of Southeast Michigan’s premier catering companies.

PrimOvations operated out of a spacious location in Whitmore Lake until it was sold after 13 years. Our necessary move landed us in the Hamburg area. We procured a spot that had been closed for over 5 years but with a lot of elbow grease, vision and community support…36 SOCIAL was born! We were intrigued with the period of abstinence in the United States from 1920 to 1933 referred to as Prohibition. 36 Social is a tribute to that unprecedented time.

We have quickly realized that the Hamburg community is as excited about us being here as we are! Our vision to create a comfortable, relaxed, friendly atmosphere with great food and spirits has been very well received. It is our goal to listen to the community and what it needs. Our hours are short and sweet, our menu fresh and delicious with weekly specials. If we don’t have your spirit of choice…we can get it.
